Title: Antidifferentiation
Post by: soccerboi on May 10, 2012, 05:30:11 pm
When asked to find "an" anti derivative,  we don't need the +c at the end right? But is fine to just put it there? it's kinda become a habit for me now..

i thought it was the "the" where we don't need to put +c.
In any case it's far safer to just put the +c, you definitely wont lose marks

I dont think they mark you off if you put a c there from memory

nah the antiderivative means the general antiderivative, meaning the +c is required.

an antiderivative meaning just a specific case, so +c is not required.

but whatever, it's trivial mathematical convention, however just follow VCE rules to be safe.
