Title: Loosing motivation?
Post by: ecvkcuf on May 22, 2012, 07:47:54 pm
Okay.. so I started off the year thinking that I would do really well.. but it seems like my motivation decreases day-by-day.

Term 1 first few weeks was doing like 1-3 hours a day.. then it went downhill from there. Now I just finish my assignments, study for SACs, and homework in the last minute which hasn't been detrimental to my scores but I haven't been getting the coveted A+ SACs for every subject which I planned to get. I'm aiming for an ATAR of 80-90 and thinking of doing science or comm but not sure where atm.. from the likes of what it seems like I won't achieve my score. I'm not studying as much as I wanted to at the start of the year and am nothing compared to the top students at my school and on here.. but I really want to change.. but I feel like I'm a bit behind compared to most of the state..

so basically can I still make up for not studying enough in term 1 and a bit of term 2 by studying harder now? these past few days I've done some really good studying.. and I feel if I keep this up I may be able to get a decent score.. what do you guys think? my sac scores are in the B-A+ range mostly B+ and greater

anyone else in year 12 loosing motivation?

nothing we say can help you because ultimately its up to you. If you're happy continuing what your doing then fine, but by the looks of it, I think that you want to change. Its never too late to start working harder because it will only improve your results. Studying isnt the end of the world and neither is getting a bad score. Its all upto you what you want.

yer to be honest.. I'm not really focusing on scores. I just want to enjoy what I'm learning at school.. I find that when I enjoy something I'm way more likely to study hard for it because it becomes sort of like a hobby..

also so finding the real-world applications to what I'm learning really helps..  despite what people think I'm actually seeing the importance of english not just for study score but for higher learning and life in general and for other subjects such as psychology too.

thanks for the reply tho.
