Title: MUEP Japanese or UMEP Japanese?
Post by: swampman on May 25, 2012, 07:05:58 pm
I want to take Uni Extension/Enhancement program next year for Japanese( concurrent with Japanese 3/4) which one is better and why? Are the uni really strict on good grades? If I chose one, does that mean I will have better chance to get into that uni or will credits go to whichever uni i go to?

Unfortunately, your only choice is MUEP as UMEP Jap requires you to have completed 3/4 the year before. If you'd like more info on MUEP Jap, I have a friend doing it whom I can ask for you, but from my understanding: VCE Kanji + a few more (500 in total, I ink) are assumed knowledge and VCE grammar is covered within the first term, then they move onto more advanced stuff like keigo.

It does not affect your chances gaining entry into university, but if you do well enough, I think your credits count .

Hope that helps!

Yes please!
more background info: I have been doing pretty bad in my vce 1/2 subjects (as i'm concentrating more on my 3/4 subjects) will i be rejected if they see my results?

also, could your friend provide details e.g cost of program, workload, difficulty, etc.

thankyou!
