Hi,

I dont have no idea what is going in cantilevers.

how do u solve the beam and pool questions ...

does anybody have notes or some kind of tutorial to tell me what is all about and how do you easily solve the questions like that .

For a structure in translational equilibrium you're trying to satisfy three things;

The sum of forces in the x-direction is equal to 0

The sum of forces in the y-direction is equal to 0

The sum of moments (or torque, whatever you call it in VCE) is equal to 0

Remember that when you take moments, you want to do so about a point which will eliminate some unknowns, most likely a reaction force.

If you provide me with an example I'll write out a detailed solution on how to go about doing it :)
