Ok um my cousin is in year 12 next year and was wondering if he would be able to do specialist 3+4 without having done general maths: specialist (or whatever its called)...? Or is he just better off doing further(he did general:further)?
Any advice?
Thanks

Some schools like mine dont even run this 1/2 thing. Therefore he will be fine :)
Spec vs further in general is something he has to decide for himself. But spec is definitely do-able :)

Oh ok thanks Cara =)
Oh maybe I should mention he found physics hard in year 11 so he dropped it(even though i helped him get an A on the semester 2 exam) ... if that helps lol

he can choose to do spec if he wants to, but spec is tied very close to physics, if he didnt like physics, then spec wouldnt be the most enjoyable for him... :P

Ah, Physics is a small part of Specialist Maths. If there is a good teacher for Specialist Maths, you can still do well in the Physics-related part of the course.
