Is an Auto-immune Response the same as Auto-immune Disease?
I know what an Auto-immune Disease but what is an Auto-Immune Response?
Sorry if this is a stupid question.
-
auto immune responses are low level, small scale reactions that do not cause symptoms or damage (eg an autoreactive T cell sees its antigen, but is suppressed before it can proliferate properly)
AID is an AIR that has progressed and sustained itself
