Title: Question on referencing a text for Context

I'm doing GUAIA. When referring to the text is it enough to state the name of the author of the story, or must we state the title of the story as well?

e.g
Diana Nguyen describes ...
or Diana Nguyen's story "Five ways to disappoint you mother" describes...
or could i write : In "Growing up Asian in Australia, " Diana Nguyen describes...

Depends on the form/style of your piece and where your introducing the idea. Always reference the text directly at least once.

Since your nominated text is a collection of stories by various authors you should include the name of the anthology (underlined since you are handwriting it), the compiler (editor) Alice Pung, the title of the story to which you are referring (in inverted commas) and the author of the story.

For many persuasive pieces and most creative pieces it sounds rather clumsy and artificial if you state the text, however the expository form lends itself well to direct acknowledgement of the text.

The requirement is that you "draw on the ideas and arguments" of your main text, not that you name it in your response.
