I've recently chose Chem and Physics for next year in year 11. The teacher said that it would be a big workload.
Is this true? My other subjects are Physical Education, General Maths, Psychology and English.

Chem has a fairly high workload, physics (I wouldn't recommend you take this - but I'm biased) has a smaller workload as you can just dump things you're not sure of onto your cheat-sheet.
From your other subjects, English has the highest workload, and GMA is a moderate workload. I can't comment for Psych and PE though.

You will be fine! That is very similar to my subjects last year except I did methods instead of psychology. Chemistry is a lot of work but physics is no where near as difficult, as long as you remain in front and study hard, you will have no troubles at all :)
