I'm interested to know that how long do u study each day usually?
for example, I spend one hour to finish the homework and two hours for studying each day.
I know this is not enough to get a good result so that's why I'm trying to put in more effort. :-\
-
It's not so much the duration that is important but rather what you do and accomplish in that time.
-
Over 9000.
-
what LovePhysics said is so true, i know people who only did 2 hours a night in yr 12 but still got 99.7 + results, in the 2 hrs they did though they had no distractions they turned their phone, tv Facebook all off and focused 100%, you dont have to do hours on end if you use your time wisely,

Yes! I should start giving myself targets everyday and try to achieve it. :)
-
Have weekly and daily goals. Once you complete your daily and weekly goals - you have the rest of the time off for yourself; this is good because it motivates you to finish the work on time, put in more effort, and reduces procrastination.
Hours of studied is probably one of the biggest myths of VCE. If you have enough concentration an hour worth of concentrated study is better then 8 hours of pseudo study.
-
1-2 hours max. Cram massively in the days before SACs but usually I spend most of the time after school procrastinating ): Have changed that in the past week though, been doing a lot of exam prep (:
-
I usually only study when there's a SAC coming up (like the night before :P) or when we have set homework. Will definitely do more as exam time approaches though.
-
0-3 hours on weekdays
2-5 hours on wednesdays
2-8 hours on weekends
all ways depends on wether or not I am motivated and how motivated I am
-
Varies, when I study at the uni about 6 hours. If i'm at home maybe 4 hours. However, uni obviously has a different workload to school- having to complete assignments, study for pracs etc.
-
Depends what week you ask me. Sometimes I study zero hours per week. Sometimes I even feel like via watching the news I get dumber, and as a result I am studying negative hours. Sometimes I study like 2-3 hours. And sometimes, just sometimes, I eat so much ice-cream that I find enlightenment, only to lose it once I watch the news again.
-
I reckon those who count the number of hours they're studying are too busy counting those hours... instead of studying ;)
-
If I don't watch Suits/Seinfeld/New Girl on weekdays I generally do between 3-5 hours per night
If I do watch Suits/Seinfeld/New Girl on weekdays I genrally do between 1-3 hours
Weekends (no procrastination) 5-10 hours
Weekends (procrastination)......4 hours

Weekends (no procrastination) 5-10 hours
Whoah - amazing! I could never squeeze that much study time into my schedule, but I guess I'll have to reconsider when I'm in year 12 :)
-
Currently, I'm doing about 4 hours a night (5-6 if I have a SAC) and 6 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Remember, it is across two days: Saturday and Sunday. Its not hard when you are a curry and stuck at home because your parents cbbs to take you anywhere and you cant be stuffed asking them. Plus, my job requires me to sit at home....so yea.
@Surgeon: I would die if I did what you do. But then again, I have tutor atleast 2 hours a night afterschool, and I unfortunately do not do enough in my spares...

You have a schedule? Wow. That's impressive. My schedule is: Go to school. Come home. Go to school. Come home. AND REPEAT
-
I don't do tutoring so I guess that gives me more time haha.
I stay back at school on Wednesdays and Thursdays for English lectures from 4-5 and that's all I do really.
Otherwise, I generally get home at 4:30, jump in the shower, get dressed, have a bite to eat then do about an hour of study until 6 when I generally have dinner. Then get started on the rest of my subjects and go to be at about 12.
-
I think I'm the reverse of everyone now that I'm doing so much "job" work. Studying, for me, is like what I do when I procrastinate. So I would come home, write my ATARNotes book and all that blah blah and then switch with studying when I'm sick of it, then switch back when I'm sick of studying, I don't know - it works!
-
I don't think ill be getting anywhere with 1 hour study a night, but I can't seem to discipline my self to sit and study. After 1 hour study I feel like I've acheived something great, simply because I acctually managed to sit and do some work. I really need motivation!

It really depends on the day.
Monday: 4 hours.
Tuesday: 7 hours
Wednesday: 0 hours.
Thursday: 7 hours.
Friday: 2 hours, more less.
Saturday: 4-5
Sunday: 0.
-
I study hard - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 2 weeks a year (swotvac).

When i started the year off i barely done 30 minutes a day before i began doing other things. 1 month before mid years i was studying 6 hours a day on weekdays and 9 hours a day on weekends. after midyears had 1 hour a day study. now i am doing 4 hours a day on weekdays. and 6 a day on weekends.

At the moment.. 1-2 hours of study a day. :/ (Which may have a correlation to the 39% I got on my power SAC for physics)
My daily study hours throughout the year has gradually decreased: from 4-6 hours to that sad amount stated above.
I think it may be that I'm sick of having like 2-4 SACs a week.
But come holidays up until the exams, I want to study atleast 6 hours a day.
