Title: Linked genes question
Post by: Biceps on September 05, 2012, 06:17:58 pm
A breeder carried out the cross SSWW x ssww and obtained a number of SsWw offspring to find out if the 2 genes were on the same chromosome. If the 2 genes were on the same chromosome close to each other you would reasonably expect offspring from the test crosses to include:
S:long hair
s:short hair

W:straight hair
w:wavy hair

a)More with long wavy hair than short wavy hair
b)More with short straight hair than short wavy hair
c)approximately equal numbers of long straight hair and long wavy hair
d)approximately equal number of long straight hair and short wavy hair

I think it's right, I haven't done gene mapping for a while >.<
