Im seriously considering doing this and making a habit of it, but im not sure if it is worth it, we all know how important sleep is, and some argue that studying in the morning is pointless because you will forget it all and the best time to study is before you sleep..
thoughts?

I've always been told that the best time to study is in the morning?

This can work for some, but not work for others. Depends on whether you are a day person or night person.
Personally, i think this is a brilliant idea. Get up and complete an exam, then later correct it in your spares. When you come home, you are ready for another one.

Yeh do it if you can, it will be good for you. I started getting into the habit of sleeping at 10.30 and getting up at 6.30 to study. I find that i get more done in the morning when im feeling fresh compared to the last hr before bed time.
but do whatever works for you

Do it if you want to, if you like sleep then don't. Definitely don't do it if you find it annoying or tiring though, cause that defeats the purpose.

yeah I was waking up at 5.30 towards the end of VCE to do some practice exams whilst it was quiet, peaceful and everyone was asleep
it's quite relaxing but I didn't keep up with the routine since I couldn't get to bed early :\

depends on how you feel, maybe try it once and see how effective it is, but personally for me: SLEEP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>everything, i'd never give up sleep to do prac exams lol

once day i woke up at like between 4:00 4:30am to study fora sac (got 97% i think i was really impressed) it was amazing because your mind is clear and its really quiet, also you dont tend to waste time doing useless things like FB since pretty much everyone is a sleep at that time so that is a good thing. Also i realized that it was relatively easy to remember things you would usually have to put an effort to memories which makes studying easier.
you could do it but you have to change your sleeping pattern, sleep around 9-10 latest. but i guess the amount of sleep your body needs varies from one to another, at first you will find it a bit challenging to wake up around that time but throughout time it becomes a routine.
definitely do it!! Goodluck!!

Having said this (and going against the above), I much prefer sleep over doing prac exams right after waking up. I prefer working late (till like 4am) and waking late too.

School started 8am for me most days, so I had to get up early. I woke up around 6am and did an hours or so worth of study/exam before leaving for school. I found it helped a lot since I was able to concentrate a hell a lot better, since your mind is fresh from 7-8hours rest. Give it a go, if it works then keep doing, if not then look for another alternative!
