Is it social conflict where there is a struggle between the rich and poor? Or could it be something else?
------ previous thread:
Is poverty a global conflict?
I was thinking of writing a speech on the issue of everyone needing to do their part to help countries that suffer from poverty and link to to Rugmaker but I'm not sure if I can actually do this or not.
Any advice on this idea? I'm stressing guys, the exam is in two days!

I would say that poverty is a result of conflict.
-
Yes. It is a conflict people face.
-
What type of conflict is poverty though?
-
As in physical poverty? (Poor, without food/shelter?)
Or emotional poverty? (I think of Scrooge from Christmas Carol...)
What causes poverty?? Moreover, what conflict does it grow from??
A failure of government to provide? +international intervention?
Or simple struggle to grow enough in harsh conditions??
Good question

Class conflict. Marxist theory :P
Yes!
So to emerge from poverty, people need to develop means to surpass this class conflict and regard each other as equal?
