Title: Incomplete and Codominance
Post by: lollypop96 on October 30, 2012, 09:55:40 pm
I understand the concept, and the difference  between the two:

Codominance is where a heterozygote expresses both alleles equally in the phenotype

and

Incomplete Dominance is where the heterozygote shows the combined phenotype of two extremes

But how do you denote genotypes for incomplete dominance? for example do you do the same as co dominance where you use one main capital letter and then a lower case letter for each allele eg red flower: CRCR,  white flower: CWCW, pink flower: CRCW

OR do you just use the usual letter annotation? eg red flower: RR, white flower: WW
pink flower: RW

PLEASE HELP!
