Quick question- where does transcription take place in a bacterial cell??
Or does transcription not take place at all in a bacterial cell because bacterial cells contain plasmids that are self replicating?
-
just in cytosol. they need mRNA too, cause they need proteins. but dont have a nucleus

Transcription is involved in protein synthesis, not DNA replication - and all bacteria would need to synthesise proteins. And yeah, it would occur in the cytosol, bacteria have no membrane bound organelles.

*membrane bound organelles Dilmah :D hahaha sorry couldnt resist. i feel so proud that i corrected a moderator. :D

wait, what organelles do bacteria have?
-
Just ribosomes that I can remember, for the purpose of making protein

they don't have any membrane bound organelles but they have ribosomes which aren't membrane bound..like saheh said to make proteins.
