Title: study score
Post by: Michelle94 on November 08, 2012, 05:50:20 pm
i know these questions are annoying
but my sacs for unit 3 were 93, unit 4 86 so thats 89.5 overall.
i got a B+ for mid year.
if i get another B+
what would my ss be?
or what if i get a B?

if you get another B+ you would get around 33-34 maybe even 35 because sacs arent too bad.. a B might get you around 31-32 or maybe 33 ish

If you got a high B+ for mid-year its mathematically possible to get a 40 with A+ SACs and very high A+ end of year :) But under normal circumstances, 36-38 is more likely.

yeah theres no way im aiming for a 40.
im pretty sure i will get a B+ at the end of the year.
but im just trying to work out if my ss will be low 30s eg 33-34
or medium/high 30s like 35-36

38 with a C+ mid year and B+ SACs? Wow. Did he full mark the end of year exam? :P

EDIT: Did you mean he lost 1.5 marks? :P

Hey, was wondering what exam scores I should get in this exam to obtain a 40-42?
Given that:
Mid year - High A 73/90
SACS - A+ unit 3 and 4 95/100 rank 1 in a weak cohort, but highest mid year exam mark.
Can I afford to lose 10 marks for a 40 in exam 2?
Thankyou!

Hmm, I'm not good at score predictions but I'll try. If the cutoff remains at 75, considering that your sacs a relatively good, I think 80/90 will get around 40-41.

Aim a little higher - like 82/90 :)

How does your Cohort effect your score? My class of 15 is pretty weak except for 3 of us (A+, A, B+ for mid years)

And as my teacher is a first year teacher, will that impact it at all?

Thanks!

Your sac scores scale according to your cohorts exam scores. So if you were ranked 3 you would get B+ sacs cause that's the 3rd ranked exam score

Aim higher just to be safe :P A A A normally gives 36-38, so you're friends A+ must've been really high!

Nima: If you get an A+ end of year, then anywhere from 39-44. 45 if you fullmark :P

Mid-year: mid or high A (let's assume 72/90)
SACs: rank 1 in a strong cohort (question: would my score here be based on the average of the two highest scores from both exams, or the average of the single highest scorer across both exams?). Both cases would give an average around 84+/90.
End-of-year exam: high A+ (85+/90)

SS Estimator says 42-47 for me.

What do you think?

Sac average of 96%.

Exam 1: A 70/90. Highest in cohort
Exam 2: 80/90

Can I get 40?

Exam 2: 80/90

You are essentially getting 70,70,80 at best (provided that you are #1 in your cohort), which averages to around 73.5. I'd say you might be able to get 40, but you would probably get 37-39.

If my mid year mark was an A and my sac average is 85% and maybe for this exam is an A as well what could be my study score possibly be?
