I always bring an extra set of batteries for my graphics calculator to SACs and exams for my maths subjects.
Do I need to worry about this for a scientific calculator? (I don't even know how to open the battery compartment.)
-
You can bring in a spare calculator which the supervisor will keep on a table to the side. If your calculator dies, then you can ask the supervisor for the back up.

Oh really? I will do that then.

You probably don't, but I guess it's best to save yourself from freak accidents in VCE and take either a spare one, or just unscrew the battery compartment of your calculator before the exam and leave it off (the battery will stay in regardless) and just carry a spare battery in your pencil case to the exam.

lol. we had this discussion at school the other day. one of my friends suggested bringing in a screwdriver... however logically u would waste ur time unscrewing... logic is to bring a back up calculator that you have tested BEFORE the exam not... ARGH!?! freak out... grabs back up only to realise that it too has been fried... man that would be hilarious to watch..
in any case.. if u unscrew it and bring in extra batteries theres a chance of u loosing the batteries.. by chance and they CAN fall out..otherwise how would u take them out??

To achieve success:
1. Do one of the things mentioned in this thread
2. Stop being paranoid, it won't help you in your exam
3. ???
4 PROFIT!!!
