Title: Class of 2013 Year 12 Eco Students
Post by: sam.utute on November 22, 2012, 08:28:10 am
Just a few tips for next year: :D

- Get started over the holidays: start reading a few chapters of the book. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it, as long as you cover the material at least once before school starts. This will really help to make sure you don't fall behind when school starts. I mean, it's not like you have to do any questions or anything :P
- Start writing your own set of summary notes: These should be really short. Summarise a few pages of the book with a heading and a couple of sentences. You can make/buy a more detailed set later. What's important over the holidays is to familiarise yourself with the key terms.
- Current affairs: no, don't watch ACA. But start watching Alan Kohler on ABC news (around 7:15pm). Keep an eye on BusinessDay or the AFR. You'll need to be able to discuss current events in the exam, so it's important you start exposing yourself to the media as much as possible.

I'll be running a free class in Rowville next year for Year 11 and Year 12 Economics, starting pretty early in Jan. :)

Will keep adding to the list as I think of more tips.

At school or at Stud Park library?
There almost wasn't going to be a year 11 economics class for next year because they couldn't get the numbers.

Looking forward to it.
