Title: Question-
Post by: honey-corowa on December 03, 2012, 10:09:26 pm
Not sure if anyone else is finding this at their school, can only assume, but at my school due to strikes and union action our reports have just been left with a score of either S or NS and a general (vague) description of what the unit entailed. How will this change the application process?

Yesh. It's going to be weird . We cannot exactly tell the teachers to write reports especially for us . :) But yeh. If its prominent in many schools , they might just contact the school or something. :) Wait and see  ? :) Good luck for your application!

Our school is doing the same too I believe. Not sure if it's all teachers or just some though.

I think the teachers who are in the Union , do it.
Sneaky universities will somehow find a way out .

The UMEP, MUEP and whatever other unis offer these enhancement programs (Swinburne, RMIT and Deakin I think) have contact details on their respective websites.

It's probably best if you send them an email or call them up and just ask.

And the only day I could go to school is on the 17th! I don't think anyone's going to be there tomorrow, and leaving it past Monday is risky. So it seems I'll be checking my results early instead of sleeping in.  :'(

I'm going to just e-mail each of my teachers and ask them to write a recommendation for me to do the program, any suggestions of what kind of things I should suggest they write about? (In terms of study habits, organisation, work ethic, specific grades?)

What separates you from the rest maybe?

My school sent a letter. Principal told us that VCE classes will not be effected and reports will be written as usual for them all. So no worries for mine I guess :)

You should have gone to your school, they can't ignore you then.

I myself am more worried about reports, ours will be online, and no one seems to know when they will come up...
