If there's a student quota, exactly what kinda marks to I need to have a chance of being allowed to take the subject? E.g. anatomy. I've met all prerequisites.
-
I think you should get in confidently with a high H3/H2B average.
-
Anatomy is a fairly large quota (425 students) and it's run in both semesters therefore I would agree with Peedles. I was surprised to learn around 100 students had been denied entry to second year anatomy because I thought that the quota was so large it wouldn't be an issue. But I guess so many people want to take it, and perhaps one semester is favoured over the other.

Missed Sem. 2 Anatomy enrolment for reasons of ignorance =3=
I never thought one could enrol in a subject for Sem 2 even though it's almost 6 months away.
What are the chances of someone dropping out of the subject once they have enrolled? I'm guessing it's low as it's a quota thing.
Also, does anybody have any idea which semester would be easier to enrol in the subject?
-
No idea :/
Logically most people would get excited and want to do it sem 1...BUT at the same time many would think they have a better shot getting in sem 2 so it's roughly all the same.
I got my preference and am doing anatomy sem 1 :)
Was worried I'd miss out because my chem average brought my H2 average down to H3 >_< Ah well, at least I don't have to worry about the inorganic chem and all that other stuff and just focus on the organic and more relevant (to me) side of things now. Motivation, I have finally found you.

Hi guys
I want to push taking ANAT20006 to Sem 2 next year but it'll be my last chance to get it in my study plan.
What do you think my chances are of being accepted?
I expect around a 75-80% average by the end of this year....
If there's a high chance I won't be accepted then I'll try in Sem 1 but I'm trying to free up a space in Sem 1 right now and it's the only one I can move....
-
In semester 2, definitely will be accepted.

With a H2A average you'll get in fine. You might want to try including it for Sem 1 first, and then pull out later if you do get accepted and reconsider your other subjects (e.g. if you have a multitude of Sem 1 only subjects to do) such that it's better for you to do it in Sem 2.
