At Monash, what's the ratio of places offered to interviews offered?

Approximately -> Interviewees 2 : Offers 1
Offers are made via VTAC when everyone else gets offers.

Depends on the year. I'm not sure how many interviews they gave out this year, but I'm guessing it's ~600. 2:1 is close enough :P

Your friend was probably talking about the chances of getting an interview - in which 1:6 would sound about right.
