Starting Monday week (results day!), and lasting 2 weeks (till midnight on NYE), we will be launching a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge pre-order for all our new offerings for 2013, a whopping 15 books and the UMAT prep course. Look out over the next week for various samples of different products cropping up all over the place!
The UMAT Prep Course is coming along fantastically. We'll be opening the beta test with a bunch of free questions to try on Monday Dec 17. The course will feature over 1000 original questions, with detailed video solutions and comprehensive notes on each section and more. We're working our own special ranking algorithm to try and accurately reflect UMAT scores as much as possible! (This functionality will not be available in the beta test).

All of our 2 book volumes will retail for $70 (these are 2 full books, and equates to $35 per book). All of our single books are $35 except for English which is $25.
For Cyber-Monday only, because you're pre-ordering, all 2 book volumes will be $55, a whopping saving of $15 (over 20% off!). Single books will be $29. And did I forget to mention? FREE SHIPPING.
Note: English, PE and Legal are not included in the pre-order sales. They are not discounted. If you order these books in the same transaction, we will ship those out to you immediately (and your pre-order books will come later).
These books are expected to be ready in late January, so you should have them in time for the start of the school year, and 2 weeks in at the very latest!
UMAT Prep Pricing
We'll be charging $99 for the course, but for anyone who pre-orders it during our Cyber Monday sales, they get a whopping discount of $20 and get it for just $79! Comparable courses from other companies in the industry are offered for $400. We think those prices are disgusting and are happy to slash those prices by crazy percentages. Our product is the same type of content, but charged at a fair price.

Chemistry will have 700+ for sure, and pretty much all will have 600+ though I cannot say for sure. You'll have much more detailed info on each book by Dec 17, guaranteed.
Suffice it to say, they're much bigger than every other guide on the market :P

There will be hyper-detailed solutions which will guide you through the questions and be more valuable than summaries (for Physics, Chem and Maths - which are the only ones I can speak for).

They make great memorabilia! I have the Unit 4 Physics book and Unit 3 Chem book on display in my room, just saying, they'll be collectors items soon, especially when Thushan's famous, everyone will be dying for a copy of that "first book".

I was wondering if we pre-order the books on cyber-Monday, and for example I want to purchase Spesh, methods, accounting and also LEGAL (which is already out), will I be getting the legal studies study guide at the same time as my other books that wouldn't have been released when cyber-monday occurs???
Like, will I get my legal studies study guide a couple of days after cyber-monday with free shipping or will all the study guides come together???
Also, one more question, would you recommend using the spesh and methods books (either unit 3 or 4) as a bound reference or make our own???

I can't answer the first few questions but I reckon it is best to make your own bound reference. That way you can add stuff in easily if you find you need it

The Legal book is the same size as one of Thushan's chem books :) So A4. All the guides except for English are A4.

Secondly, Further and IT:Apps will be up later today. There shouldn't be an IT:Apps link. I think that was a placeholder.

Also, the reason why the Methods test was missing a question stem is part of the reason why the pre-sale was opened late. I was rushing to reformat that chapter to look like our study guides (the sample hadn't yet undergone typesetting). My typesetting hadn't been edited, so that's why that gap slipped through. I assure everyone, the sub-editing will be very thorough on the finished product. Our books typically have very few errors.
EDIT: It is actually a bug in our typesetting program. The text was there, it's just not rendering in the PDF output for some strange reason.

Pre-order offers continue until December 31, 2012 at midnight. You will see front and back covers closer to the date when we allocate colours. They will look exactly like the covers you see for PE, Legal and English except they will be a different colour.

You need to pay with Paypal. If you choose the EFt/Cheque/Money Order option, it means that you send us a cheque in the mail and once we receive that, then we'll process your order (so it's a lotttttt slower).
If you don't have a Paypal account there is an option to pay with a credit card once you click "Pay with paypal".

Haha, I had the same guilt! Part of the reason why I was never into tutoring haha. Back in my bad (damn I'm getting old), I bought study guides and the like. I find working through things by yourself is a really great way to learn, and exposure to as many different styles of questions (different authors!) is great too. :)

Haha I feel what your going through. My parents say that if you do your research and you know what you want and it will help, then why not get it.
That's why I feel really guilty when I think of getting the methods and specialist maths since I already have Derrick ha and jacks notes.

This bundle is slated to be ready between January 24 and February 8. Your order will be shipped the moment the books are delivered to us from our printers. In the event of a delay to this expected shipment date (24/1-8/2), you will be notified and kept updated with the progress of the books. We will make every effort to ensure all books are received by mid-February, 2013.

I finally got my legal book today! 1 week is not bad considering it is christmas time. This was like my early christmas present :D
Unfortunately I didn't get a tshirt :( hopefully when my pre order comes I get one :)
Also, this isn't a complaint or anything but why does my book have creases on the corners of the front and back covers?

Glad you're enjoying your christmas pressie. Re: the creases, it's all down to how Auspost handles the box we send. We bubblewrap the books so they can't really do any serious damage. But if they don't take care with your box, it'll sadly rattle around their van and a couple of creases will form. Especially when there's only one book in the box, there's more room to move.
Basically complain to AusPost.

But hold on, if this had happened before, wouldn't you think of maybe using a smaller box to fit one book in since you would already know that this would happen? This would decrease stuff like this happening again.
A smaller box wouldn't rattle as much or if not, at all, thus would not form creases on a book I have paid full price for and was meant to be NEW.

Are you seriously trying to make such a big deal out of a couple of creases that you want us to buy new bulk packaging? Most boxes do not get mishandled and arrive in perfect condition. We're not going to buy new bulk packaging (running into 4 digits of cost) just because a very small minority are getting very lightly scuffed.
If you're that unhappy with the condition of the book, you are welcome to return it to Level 28, 303 Collins Street and exchange it for a "NEW" copy. Please PM me to organise a time to come in.

You make it sound like we can afford to just go buying every single kind of packaging that exists.
Please remember we are a startup company and are currently turning very little profit.

I hope so for you guys. I've seen one of the 'prototypes' (I think it was for a PE-book), so much easier to handle than the old version.

Yep. All question booklets will be spiral bound, as well as new editions of Legal and PE. Solution manuals and english will be perfect bound.
All study guides that we currently produce will have new editions when study designs change. If the Physics study design changes in 2014 (I don't think it does, it just changed this year), there will be a new edition.

Sadly, it is looking like we won't be getting a Psych study guide out this year. We had no takers to write it. I will make it a priority for 2014, cold comfort as that may be to you. Sorry mate!
