Okay so I received my ATAR score of 79.80 this morning, which was about 10 marks below where I thought I would fall :-\
However, my aim is to get into Arts at Monash Caulfield (Clayton is now out of reach :-[ ), and then transfer into Arts/Law at Deakin at the end of the year. With Caulfield's Arts clearly-in being 80.05 for 2012 and the % below clearly-in being 41.34%, would it seem likely that I would receive an offer for the course?
Also worth mentioning is that I had some fairly serious family issues during the year (a parent diagnosed with cancer), and I put forward a SEAS application which should hopefully also help with an offer, however I don't know how much it will count for.
Thanks!!

Clearly-Ins fluctuate from year to year so your still in a good position of receiving an offer, especially since your score was very close to the cut-off for last year and you also have SEAS.

So I just need to hope that the clearly-in doesn't go up then I guess

I doubt it'll fluctuate much, so with the SEAS you stand a pretty good chance.
