Was just wondering if anyone could please give me some suggested resources for Eng Lang 3/4, such as books, notes etc.

the VATE lecture notes for 2012 were pretty good this year too, they help to put the new study design into perspective.
sara thornes 'advanced english language guide'

Suggested readings such as : blooming english, weeds in a garden, 'eats shoots and leaves' etc
