Title: Will the Bachelor of Arts degree allow me to get into HR as a career?
Post by: caitlinorchard on December 23, 2012, 01:16:41 am
Hi! I'm interested in doing the Bachelor of Arts in 2013 and majoring in Media and Communications.

I've read up on it and know what its about. What has me a little confused is that the Bachelor of Arts degree has Human Resources listed as a career path (which is what I want to eventually do) but the Media and Communications major does not mention HR as an end-point, despite being the most relevant major to the HR field. Does anyone have any experience with the degree and/or possibly the major?

Thanks so much :)

PS. I know the Bachelor of Commerce is best for Business studies, but I didn't do Methods or Specialist, much to my regret now.

You may have to do a Commerce graduate course after your BA.
Something like this :

You could also consider doing the very popular Management Breadth subjects whilst an undergraduate
