Title: VCE Psychology Workshop 2012
Post by: totaled on December 23, 2012, 06:11:20 pm
The Headstart workshops are back!

My credentials: I achieved a study score of 50 in Psychology in 2010, and was also awarded a Premiers' Award for my success. I ran these workshops for over 30 students last year, and I have had 6 students in the past 2 years who have achieved a perfect score of 50, 3 students who have scored 48-49, as well as many other students who have scored in the 40's .

My aim for the session is to teach you HOW to answer short-answer questions in the exam, as well as how to study throughout the year. Psychology is not a difficult subject, everyone and anyone can understand the content, so the only way to distinguish yourself from others is HOW you answer the questions. VCE examiners are very pedantic with how you answer the question, and it is the case that many people study hard, but do not have the proper method of answering questions which lets them down in the exam.

You can view my ad from last year, and some responses from people who have attended on this following link: Psychology Headstart Lecture.

I will also provide a free booklet for you to keep from the session outlining what I say within my workshop. The workshop will cost $30 and will run at State Library (location negotiable) for roughly 60-90 minutes, and I'm open to answer any questions regarding VCE and study techniques as well as tips for other subjects and the UMAT etc. at the end too.

Feel free to message me, email me ([email protected]) or comment below if you're interested!

Probably the nicest and most helpful guy I know and cares for the people he gives advice to. Absolutely amazing communicator and extremely easy to be friends with and relate to. In addition he's incredibly dedicated and committed who has had some massive deserved achievements with respect to his studies. He is a genuinely nice guy who has really helped myself throughout my whole VCE journey, and for that I am hugely appreciative and highly recommend him with first hand experience. If i was doing psych next year i would definitely go to this lecture without a doubt! Psych students would be lucky to attend such a useful lecture :)

Oh yeah, and he received a 50 psych and a premiers, 99.90 ATAR as well as a 50 english demonstrating his communication abilities.
What more could you want?

I'm currently on my uni break, so I'm free until early March. I run these sessions in groups of 3-4 so if you have friends that may be interested feel free to ask them or I'll have to find a day where 3-4 of you are free :)

Anybody doing Psych next year, don't pass up this offer. I went to totaled's lecture at the start of this year and it helped me HEAPS.

Doing well in Psych isn't just about understanding all of the content, it's about being able to express your understanding and knowing what to include in your answers. That's the difference at the top end. totaled's lecture explains everything you have to include in your answers to get full marks. This guy knows his stuff, and he's a great communicator as well

Highly recommended!  :)
