After honestly thinking I wouldn't get into either, I got offered a place in both!
But I'm not sure which one to pick
With the Monash class, it's only once a week for 1.5 hours, and there's only a mid-year exam, with no end of year. The negative is that it's all the way in Camberwell when I live in Thomastown and go to school in Coburg.
With the Melbourne, it's much more geographically convenient. But it involves travelling at least twice a week, for two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour tutorial. And it's not a classroom based subject like Monash is, which I think would be more rewarding.
I love the look of Philosophy at Melbourne. But the chances are I'll end up doing that in 2014 anyway.
Thoughts?

Congrats for your offers!
Same situation here , but different circumstances! :)
Well , think about this it would take 1.5 hours or less to come go and come back, meaning you will have less time to study for your other subjects. UMEP , although it is important , i personally would spend more time and have priority of my four VCE subjects!
I would personally choose UniMelb , maybe because it takes less travel! :) I dont know how Philosophy ,as a subject works, so I cant really say anything. But this is just my opinion! :) Good luck choosing! :)

Yeah, the location really appeals to me! Now I'm leaning towards UniMelb! I'll go to both orientation days and then withdraw from one.
Thanks :)
