Title: 3 Day Timetable for Biomed
Post by: k.sangakkara on January 31, 2013, 01:17:30 pm
Hey guys, I'm doing biomed and have planned to fit my subjects into a 3 day timetable. Is this manageable? Factor in that I have to travel 1.5 hours each way to get to Uni everyday, so I've tried to minimise travel time :) thanks!

I'm not sure what your actual question is? You appear to have already found a timetable to aim for..

I think he's asking if the timetable is manageable in terms of stress, and whether he'll be too tired if he was at uni literally all day.

Yeah pretty much that Shenz0r. Is this timetable alright? Not too heavy a workload on those days? Can that be managed? thanks :)

I am jealous of you.  :D Do you think you can concentrate for 3 hours straight?

Yeah im pretty confident I can. I can rest up on my off days and yeah if it doesn't work out, I can change sem 2, but I'm pretty confident I can :)

stick to playing cricket :P

seriously though, I think you should spread it out more and try to enjoy uni, like, what do you intend to do on your days off anyway? Unless you REALLY DON'T WANT to be at uni, or you have work commitments, you'll probably find yourself at uni studying or with friends :P

Sanga, that timetable looks reasonably manageable to me - the hardest thing for you will be getting up super early for the 8am lectures, and that seems to be set in stone no matter what. If you want some time to eat/rest/recharge through the day, you could always skip the FFHP lectures. Particularly on Wednesday - a 15 minute break will disappear in no time at all.

And paulsterio, while I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiment about enjoying uni life, I think that when you live as far away as Sanga here and you have a rare opportunity to give yourself a 3 day timetable, you should grab it with both hands.

True that, though I don't know anyone who lives quite as far as he does. Mapcrow tells me Colombo to Melbourne is 8352.53km, but he's pretty much here on cricket duties like all year round anyway ;)

hahaha I thought he already had a law degree anyway, what the hell is he doing studying Biomed? Some (very pushy) parents say to their kids "doctor or lawyer"...maybe Sanga's were like "doctor AND lawyer"?
