Are we allowed to do level 2 and 3 breaths in first year?
-
You are allowed to take 2nd year subjects in second semester of first year. You must complete 50 points of one level before proceeding to the next (progression; it's in the handbook).
-
so if it says this:
2013, Parkville
This subject commences in the following study period/s:
Semester 1 - Taught on campus.
and it is a level 2 subject, i can only do it second year? that sucks
-
according tot he handbook-"Progression: Students must complete at least 50 science points at Level 1 before proceeding to Level 2 science subjects"< do "science" subjects include breaths?
-
You're progression quote is for people doing BSci that enrolled prior to 2011.

This is your rule: "Progression: Students must normally complete 50 points of study at one subject year level before proceeding to the next subject year level."
So breadths do count. You can take Lvl 2 subjects in the 2nd semester of 1st year at the earliest.
-
hmmm... All the breadths I picked are level 3. Let me enroll for it still for 1st semester. ENGL30003
-
Why do you want to do a level 3 breadth in first year?

that's what i did too :/
-
The level three ones were the only ones that stood out to me as interesting. Plus they seemed like subjects that could assist me with the gamsat.
-
is the student centre open at this time so i can ask them
-
So long as the subjects have no prerequisite/or you already met the prerequisite it does not matter what level they are :)

No thats wrong u haveto have had completed one level before proceeding to the next. I called up the science student centre to ask
-
I don't see why not. If the subject(s) in question has no prerequisites, you not allowed to enrol in it is rather ridiculous.

It does not matter so long as you meet the previous levels prerequisites (if there are any). I've done level 2&3 subjects as breadth in first year.

anyone picked glee singing before? looks fun :)
