Title: Which uom breadths can help with gamsat prep?
Post by: blank on February 09, 2013, 11:24:24 am
I wanted to do creative writing coz I enjoy it and it might help with the gamsat but it clashes with Chinese  so I'm looking at other breadths that can help me for the gamsat. Any suggestions? :D also do breadth results count towards my GPA? Thanks!

Breadth results contribute to your GPA just like any of your biomed subjects will, for this reason people tend to choose breadth subjects that they believe they can do well in to obtain a higher gpa. If you think you will enjoy creative writing then go for it. If you are wanting to do the subject purely for the GAMSAT then it's probably not the best idea. Keep in mind there are other resources out there that can help you out with the GAMSAT if need be.

There are second semester creative writing subjects that are second year, if you write to the coordinator he might let you take it anyway if you can impress him with your abilities etc.

I did creative writing because I enjoyed it, it's not good as a GPA boosting subject because of the nature of it.

So is it a hard subject to do well in? And which subjects are good for boosting my gpa?
