Title: Third Unit 3 Sac

for some reason my teachers crammed both the second and third sac in like 1 week  >:(, so my third sac is soon.
Just wanted to know what the sac will be on.. heard it was something about yeast and gas production....?

Biochemistry - if you're investigating yeast, it's probably fermentation, anaerobic cellular respiration!

This is where the new study design seems to kick in for our school's cohort. Up until last year there was only 4 SACs per unit but now a 5th one has to be introduced. Our teacher is going to trial a photosynthesis experiment which we will hopefully get to do as a SAC towards the very end of the term.

For some reason, we have 4 sacs for outcome 1 which is like SAC 1a,1b,1c which are all practical investigations and SAC 1d which is a test on core topics. Does anyone have a topic test as one of their SACs?

Kindof...I competed my 2nd SAC today, and it was pretty much a topic test. Even though we had a practical for it (liver+H2O2)...We didn't have to write up a report which I was pleased about.

For each of our sacs, we have a test on the prac (so no prac report write up) but then theres an extra sac which is just like a topic test on the whole of outcome 1.  :o

Whole of outcome 1? O.o?
Does it count towards your SAC overall?

Yeah it does.. It counts as one of the sacs and its worth 25 marks I think.
