Title: Using stains to detect things specific to division (cell division)????
Post by: MagicGecko on April 05, 2013, 11:56:05 pm
Hi!
Ok so I know that S phase cells can be stained by various techniques, and that that there are several methods that can be used in the laboratory to show cell cycle using specific stains that detect things that are specific to division...but how might these actually work?
Sorry just a little confused  :-\

Depends on what you are trying to look at. I really like DAPI which is a nuclear stain which shows up really nicely on fluorescent imaging
