Title: help with this staining question? Intestine?

Epithelium in the small intestine above showing many cells are in S phase (brown nuclei) of the cell cycle. Where are the cells that are positively stained in the intestine i.e. what part of the epithelium?  Why would they be in this part of the tissue?
