hows everyone going so far?
i got 92% in SAC 1 (website development)
94% in SAC 2 (databases)

i might just add here that sacs really do mean jack in ITA. so long as you're above the average in your class anything can happen. Make sure you know more on the theory side! If anyone has looked at last years exam you will see the extent of the horribleness of ITA last year. But apart from that I wish all you guys the best of luck and a 'fun' semester two!

but each unit is worth 25% each. when combined, it's effectively 50% of ur SS.

98% for website development (lost a mark on contraints. i only mentioned 2 instead of 3.. (was out of 3 marks) . :(
the next outcome on spreadsheets yeh? harder than other 2 outcomes or?

I reckon database was the hardest (Although some formulas, such as complicated tax brackets, can be a bitch in Excel). Although I did worse on the last outcome =[

ahh well just spoke to i.t. teacher, he believes all equally the same, though i will probably struggle with rememebering some formulas. hopefully i'm all good. if anyone can help me out, what ss would i be looking at with:
u3 o1: 90%
u3 o2: 97-98%
u4 o1: 95-100% (predicted)
u4 o2: 97-100% (predicted)
exams= A+

Again, it depends where you rank within your cohort, and how your cohort in general ranks against the state.
I'm going to say it to everyone here, but raw scores mean bugger all in terms of calculating your study score. It's the ranking that counts.

just gun ur exam. It's possible to get an A+. Even though DB SAC is considered the hardest, i got higher in it than website dev. To get 40+, you need A+,A+,A+ - which means that you must have an A+ unit 3 SAC average, hence an A+ in the DB SAC....unless you get like 100% in the exam.

depends on your exam result:
a high A+ would yield : 47+
mid A+ would yield: 44-47
low A+ would yield : 40-43

ah im finding spreadsheets not the easier task. just the formulas. there is not much in the ita book about them. any good study tips for it or?

unit 4 outcome 2 = 78/80 marks (97.5%).. 58.5/60 unit 4 marks. mm im happy but wondering where i lost the marks :S lol. just did last yr exam and only got 81% LOL.. better pick up my game.. anyone else got spreadsheet sac result back? thanks all for ur help and hints and all :) highly appreciated.. goodluck everyone

ah yeah? how did u find u4o1? (found out i just lost the 2 marks on something simple :S.. i didnt put milestones into the gant chart lol) ahwell.. so going all the legislations, ethics and stuff like that now?

I think the best sac was excel tbh. All the other ones were so boring.. -=\.
U4O1 Website- A+(100%)
U4O2 Access- A(85-89)
U4O3 Excel- A+(94%)
U4O4 ethics/disposal of data thingy - A+(95%-100%)
Pretty happy with my Sacs.. Access was lame though. Never want to touch that program again!

i enjoyed the website, well tbh i didnt mind any of them, besides access i didn't like.. i love networks lol so anything relating to that :).

if i'm averaging overall 95% .. and get around 90%-95% for the exam..
llast year the SD was 30 (i know huge) but with a A+ been giving for 75%+

If the stats for last year was similar to this year, with those marks you can achieve roughly 47-48ish. I know a few people last year who lost quite a decent amount of marks(10-13) in the exam and they still obtained a SS of 48+, but got almost full SAC marks

are u serious :S they lost that many and still managed that :D.. im hoping for the best :D lol. well i lost a fair few marks in unit 3. i think i lost 6.5-7.. probly will come back to me when i get my SS.. and lost 3 in unit 4, which not too bad.. now lets find out u have only losed a few marks for unit 3. so we can get that 50 together haha :p jokes, but we can try.. we'll set up those posts soon ay. nif u havnt done so alrdy lol i havnt checked.

I lost 12 marks (ordered a SoM) and got 49, so yeah not competitive at all. Don't let that be a reason to relax though! You'll find that the majority of marks lost are from carelessness.

99% of my marks lost were lost from careless errors (e.g. I wrote "Health Records Act" instead of "Health Records Act 2001") so I don't think there's really one clear area where I struggled, it was kind of spread across.
The other 1% of marks lost were due to ambiguous VCAA questions (any ITA '08ers remember that "write a question the parents could ask" question?).
