Title: Text Response Criteria - Specifically for Twelve Angry Men
Post by: HossRyams on May 07, 2013, 07:20:59 pm
So the SAC is out of 30 marks, and 5 marks are dedicated to social/historical context and 5 marks are dedicated to understanding of the structures, features and conventions of the text.
In all my practice essays I've only managed a maximum of 4.5 but I don't even see how what I've written corresponds to that mark. So my question is, how can you always fulfill the above two criteria?

So far I aim to always introduce the following in my intro: American Society in 1957...civil rights movement...height  of the McCarthyism hysteria...Rose's own personal experiences of being on a jury...

As for the structures, I have difficulty mentioning much about it unless the topic specifically involves set design / stage directions. How can I fulfill this criteria, regardless of the essay topic?

Thanks!
