Title: French Revolution

Hi!
I was just wondering are there any strategies/tips/advice on how to deal with preparing historiography?
My teacher has hardly said anything about it & I'm panicking a little about it because it's an important part of the exam.
Any advice on how I can tackle historiography?
I would APPRECIATE any advice whatsoever

I'm not an expert on the subject but I would recommend having concrete knowledge of the historians' point of views. Also, ensure that you have a strong introduction and conclusion.

happydays,

jeanweasley has given some good advice and links. I would add that a lot of students fall into the trap of trying to know too much historiography. A good starting point should be to know the main 2-3 different schools of thought for your revolution. For Russia this is Pipes and Service on the right, CPSU on the left and a thousand others in between. For France it's Schama on the right, Rude, Soboul etc. on the left and others in between.

My teacher said to memorize a few quotes that you can apply to different events in the revolution. :)
