Squeeze some lemon juice in your eyes/fist fight a dangerous gang and then get all pumped up and tense your muscles and be like "YEAH WHAT I'M SO HARDCORE I CAN DO ANY AMOUNT OF STUDY".

I'm just kidding about that, but sometimes actually achieving something bigger than whatever task is in front of you can make it seem less horrible. Eg: going for a massive run, coming home to whatever study it is and thinking "can't be harder than that run".

Honestly, if I don't feel like working hard on a day, I probably just don't do the work and watch some TV or something (accepting that I'll have to work harder later). If that isn't an option, well, you just sit and do it.

Sometimes working out/exercising before doing work can make you lazier and more tired. I went for a hard run and came back and managed to do 2 and a half hours worth, but it was a little harder than usual.

I'd say put yourself in an environment where your peers or other students are studying, it might motivate you!

Think about how stuffed you'd be if you didn't get the work done. It's been working for me all year. :) Although, this method compounds itself with my anxiety and fear of completely going blank in an exam.

1 nail to the forehead each hour you dont study.

Ok actually, on days where I don't feel like working hard, I simply don't work hard. No point exhausting yourself trying to work hard if you're not going to. On these days, I just do some light study which usually includes reading chapters or reading notes, or doing the activities that require minimal brain usage such as writing up summaries and notes.

Think about where you want to be in the future and then imagine how upset you'd be if you were doing something, a job, perhaps, that you didn't like? Now, use that as your motivation to tell yourself that you have to work for it and that it the end it will really be rewarding and you'll be happy that you've achieved your goal. Tell yourself that what you're feeling now will pass (as it usually does) and that you have to do what you must. If you're really down, just set aside 2 minutes to complete a bit of your work and then when it's done, strive to do another 2 minutes until you've completed the work. Tell yourself that you will get there and that whatever you're feeling right now--stress, annoyance, whatever it is, that you will get through it all. Don't tell yourself to work so hard if you don't feel like it, rather, tell yourself to get at least two things done. They don't have to be overly complicated but strive for getting at least two things done, even if they're simple; and when you feel like you're ready to do more, then do a little more than last time and eventually you'll find that it wasn't so bad after all. That what you're doing now is for your future, that the hardship will all pass and in the end you can have as much fun as you want.
