Title: Actuarial Studies and Diploma of Mathematical Sciences
Post by: ~T on August 20, 2013, 09:33:51 pm
I'm hoping to study at Melbourne next year, and I want to get into Commerce with an Actuarial major or Science with a Mathematics major. I thought that Actuarial Studies and the Diploma of Mathematical Sciences would be a good compromise, but I'm confused because...

http://coursesearch.unimelb.edu.au/concurrent_diplomas/1-diploma-in-mathematical-sciences

...doesn't list Commerce as an available concurrent degree and...

http://www.undergraduates.ms.unimelb.edu.au/course_advice/dip_math_sci/plans/commerce/actl.html

...gives a course plan for exactly what I want to do - that which the first link suggests is not allowed.

Just wondering if anyone knows anyone who is doing this. Or knows if it is allowed or not allowed. I've sent an email to the Commerce department, but thought I'd check here too.

Thanks :)
