Title: how are students finding PHYC10006 (Physics 2: Life Sciences and Environment)
Post by: M-D on September 14, 2013, 06:10:19 pm
Hi,

I just thought I'd ask how students are finding PHYC10006 especially the electricity and magnetism section. Are you guys up-to-date with things?

Thanks

I can't imagine that the electromag section of PHCY10006 is any harder than the comparative section in PHYC10004. How are you finding it?

Electromagnetism in PHYC10006 is so much better than the useless stuff taught in VCE. We actually learn stuff here.
Overall PHYC10006 is going well for me personally. I would think that I'm up to date with things.

Biggest pain ever for me. Nothing has changed from vce physics. It's still as boring and dry.  :-\ My opinion is shared by many others too. At least this semester is more than halfway through! Just barely up to date.... at least they pot solutions to the problems  :D

For those that like electromag, Electrical Device Modelling - ELEN30011 has some awesome, more mathematically intensive information. It is for those taking electrical engineering and it really a physics course with an engineering focus on the uses of semiconductors and classical electromagnetism to model electronic devices. It is legit as.

its fine, not keen on our last lecturer and I had to do a lot of self-teaching and its pretty boring. The Prac (and to some extent the tutes) were useful. At least Circuits will be better...I hope
