Hi, I've been planning my subjects for second year. I'm thinking about majoring in Microbiology and Immunology but I'm also going to be doing the prerequisites for med. I was gonna do Human structure and Function, Physiology and Principles of Microbiology and Immunology in semester 1 and then biochemistry and microbes, infection and responses in second semester. However, after reading some subject reviews, I'm unsure if doing Anatomy, Physiology and Micro in one semester might be a bit much as theres alot of memory work for these subjects.
Could anyone who have done some of these subjects advise me on whether doing them together is a good idea? If not, which subjects would you recommend I pile together in one semester?
Thankyou!

Hi I did biochemistry & anatomy in one semester, and then physiology the next semester. Physiology is based more on understanding than the first two. Anatomy is probably the most content heavy out of all three, followed by biochemistry.
I think your timetable should be fine as is.

I did all three of those together and it was fine! I got 94+ in all of them.

Physiology is not that content heavy when compared with Anatomy.
As El said, it's mainly about understanding concepts, with a little memory work on the side.
I'd say you'd be fine doing both of those 2 subjects at once.
I can't comment on Micro because I haven't done it.

I got 94+ in all of them.
Yes, simpak is very dedicated in achieving her aims of/maintaining a >95 average.
-
It's not >95! It's exactly 95 haha. But my Penn GPA will make it drop because they're going to insert each A+ score at 80.

Haha brutal as Simpak! I'm not expected to maintain mine either this semester, surprisingly my first year subject is my worst at the moment!
