Title: Predictions for conflict prompt?
Post by: This-is-not-me on October 27, 2013, 11:58:32 pm
What do you guys reckon the prompt for conflict will be about this year?  I'm thinking something about internal conflict since they have to factor in Life of Galileo as well, which does explore a significant amount of internal/moral issues.  8)

That's true, but it's also about the choices one makes, and the consequences those choice can have on others as well yourself.  Even though Galileo didn't really face much internal conflict when he initially recanted his beliefs,  the implications of his decisions towards the science community did eventually come back to haunt him, making him believe that he "betrayed" his profession.  I know that the conflict between the different ideologies is prominent throughout LOG but I'm just making a prediction. I did Paradise Road as well and something about our choices and its impacts on others and ourselves would fit nicely in my opinion.  But anyway, that's just my guess.

yeah true. i am doing LOG, TQA and Paradise Road, but the topic will have to cover ALL books that are studied - the VCE topics tend to be quite broad due to this fact! hopefully it should be OK!
