The way I learnt it:
Decide upon the objective. Firstly what is to be achieved must be determined
Analyse the business environment which is possible through a SWOT analysis.
Determine a set of alternatives which includes creating plans. Simultaneously decide upon the most appropriate alternative - the one with the most advantages, greatest feasibility and lowest number of disadvantages.
Implement the chosen plan.
Monitor the chosen plan to determine whether the goal is being achieved; this may be assisted through the use of Performance Indicators.

Man they all the same lol, aslong as its got to do with planning and achieving objectives. its a planning process LOL.

remember, planning is the process of setting objectives and deciding upon overall strategies to achieving them.

use everything besides freaking strategic planning, intermidaite planning and day-day planning lol. that is not what the examiners what to know if it asks you about a multi-stage planning process ahha
