I'm repeating linear algebra in the summer and on my study plan I have enrolled in engineering mathematics for semester 1, 2014. I was told I needed permission from the subject coordinator to enrol in eng maths since I will not get my linear algebra results back in time for semester 1. I am also interested in what form the "permission" needs to be in. Is it a letter? Is it simply an email saying "yes, you may do engineering maths"?
I have emailed my subject coordinator about a week ago and they still have not replied. Given that I have already enrolled in eng maths, is the permission really necessary?

An email should be sufficient. If you're already enrolled in the subject, it's not an issue though, so long as you do eventually complete linear algebra.

Linear Algebra… I feel your pain.
