Promised myself I'd do a bit of sharing for these guys just before results come out, basically a nice little incentive where you donate part or all of your ATAR score in cash money to some charity of your choice. I think it's a nice way to make your score mean something more than just a position in a line to get into a university, especially if you aren't considering options that even require a score for next year. Something like this adds a little extra importance to the numbers you get on the 16th.
Here's a link to the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/DonateYourATAR
And for those interested in the back-story, an article from this time last year (donATAR's first year): http://www.theage.com.au/national/education/top-marks-for-schoolleavers-charity-plan-20121214-2bfc6.html
Good luck for your results everyone!

Heard about the last year, really cool idea! -
For year 11's that want to participate: why not donate your study score in $ you got for your 3/4. If you did two 3/4's donate the highest score (or the value of both added together if you wish).
I'm going to be donating my economics study score in $ to amnesty or the EFF (or a combination of the two).

I think this is a great idea. As this is an education based forum, I think it would be fitting to donate it to an education charity, such as YESS (Youth Education Support Services). YESS supports disadvantaged students in covering the cost of educational materials and fees so students can continue on an educational pathway of their choosing..

If you want to feel all cuddly on the inside I found a charity for the protection of Harp Seals in Canada ;D

If I get my goal I'll donate my ATAR or at least half.
Good luck.
