I don't know what to think of economics scaling. 40 went to 42 and 45 went to 46. I wonder whether a 42 went up by 1 or 2. Hopefully the latter.

Can anyone who got an ATAR shed some light on the economics scaling?

Not sure if there should be a new thread for this but here's the ATAR to aggregate table :) http://144.140.62.148/pdf/aggregate-ATAR.pdf
Pretty sure the crazy high 99.95 cut-off was due to the methods scaling haha

Chinese SL went down by 1, apparently they're planning to gradually turn down the scaling for Chinese. Can anyone confirm?

I'm doing 3/4 Chinese SL next year btw.

Whhaaat? methods scales over 50 now?

Random Oldperson fact. In 2001ish (+/-2 yrs), Methods used to scale to 51. So this is not a new thing. Weird it went to 52 though. Might have something to do with the very difficult exam?

They can't "plan" to bring down scaling. Scaling is beyond VTACs control. What you heard is a false rumor.

The drop in scaling means it was easier to score higher in the subject.

Thanks for the reassurance! Sorry if this is a stupid question but how do you give rep on this forum? (I'm new :P)

Normally in the top right hand corner of each post there's a +\- button. + to give respect. - to take respect obviously.

This results board has respect turned off however as mods don't want people being upvoted just because they get good results.

i thought exam difficulty did not affect scaling. (That's why cut off grades change a lot every year)

Methods high scaling this year; does it have to do with a stronger cohort?

Correct me if i'm wrong.

Yeah my understanding of scaling is that, on average, the people taking Methods this year did overwhelmingly well in their other subjects (on average).
