With an atar of 99.20, what chance do I have of getting this monash scholarship? (eligible with 98 atar). Thanks :)

Depends on the course.
I got an Engineering one in 2011 with a bit higher ATAR (.35), but I wouldn't have got it for Law or Med for example
-
yes this is for engineering :) thx for the response
-
Yeah for the record Monash called me up for the scholarship on the day ATARs came out (ie. today), sometime in the morning. Good luck!

what happens if I miss that call by the way because I'm currently charging my phone for the first time in ages

Mine was on my home phone, but they'll contact you in some way regardless (assume you've accepted it if you miss it) :)

Did you have to seperately apply for the scholarship through VTAC?

Nope they'll give you a call if you have their course in your preferences and you meet the atar cut for the scholarship.
-
Is there somewhere I can go to find the scholarship atar cut-offs of previous years? Also, if I'm from an underrepresented school do I need to say so in SEAS or do they already know that (because I didn't make a SEAS application)?

Brightsky thanks but I don't think the answers to my questions are on that page :P

Oh fudge, sorry, this is Monash. :p
You might find this site to be somewhat useful: http://www.monash.edu.au/study/scholarships/sir-john/. If you click on the Monash Scholarship for Excellence, under Eligibility, it says "ATAR between 98.00 and 99.85". So you are definitely in the running! However, the 'cut-off' really depends on how many students ultimately choose to accept the scholarship offer...
-
Apparently, they only offered the 99.8 & 99.85 excellence scholarships...
By excellence scholarships, i mean the generic ones where you can do any course and still get it.
So what this means is that, if 10 of them don't choose monash, the next 10 (who chose monash) would get it... so they'll look at the 99.75, 99.7.... etc
But you'll have a high chance of obtaining faculty scholarships (pharm, eng, commerce)
With regards to equity scholarships (SEAS), it's too late now!
Apparently you had to apply to both SEAS & Monash to be considered for them...
You can try talking to them because a 99.2 would definitely get an excellence equity scholarship.
-
did I need to specifically apply for faculty scholarships?
-
What are my chances of being offered a "Scholarship for Excellence and Equity"
I meet all requirements as well as ATAR +95 however haven't heard anything from Monash.
Should i contact them ?

what would the cutoffs be like for medicine? would umat be considered or just atar?
possibility with 99.75 or would my atar need to have been higher? :(

Both are considered, depends on how you did on the UMAT. Your ATAR is pretty good!

99.80 has been the lowest I've heard.
