Title: Happy Holidays
Post by: Stick on December 24, 2013, 11:12:29 pm
With Christmas only an hour away and many other religious denominations celebrating various festivities, I think it'd be appropriate to wish the ATARNotes community a very happy holidays. :) Whatever faith you belong to, please use this special time to appreciate the more important things in life and cherish those closest to you. I know that the past couple of weeks have been a bit of a roller coaster with the release of VCE and university results, but I hope that we can all put this behind us as we come together to commemorate. To those who may be experiencing a difficult time at the moment, I'd like to offer my best wishes to you and would like to remind you of the loving and caring community of ATARNotes that will continue to be there with you in the future.
Happy Holidays. :)

Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas/Whatever you celebrate, to everyone here on AN. No doubt it has been a roller coaster with all the things that have happened recently but I'm sure brighter and better skies are ahead for us all.

Just out of interest, what are they? I had no idea so many other religions celebrated something this time of year. I know there was Hanukkah but that was a few weeks ago now...

Not sure, to be honest. If I recall correctly, Kwanza is around this time of year as well. Some other religions celebrate Christmas in a bit of a different way too, in a context that relates back to their religion (i.e. some religions see Jesus Christ as a key prophet rather than the main Messiah and so still celebrate a low-key Christmas).

You guys realise if you are awake past 12 o'clock Santa won't come next year as you'll be on the naughty list.

A belated happy holidays to all!
Anyone planning on going to see The Hobbit today? Any die-hard LOTR fans? :)
I'm admittedly a fan and even though the Hobbit has been no-where as good as LOTR my addiction makes me go and see it regardless. I'm seeing it Saturday. 8)
