Does every school have to do the same number and type of SAC for unit 3? If so, what is each SAC worth?
For unit 3, we did three SACs: A context piece, a language analysis piece and a text response (delivered via presentation). How much is each part worth?
Thanks =]

i'm assuming equal amounts (since its worth equal amounts in the exam) to contribute to 25% of your SS.

our language analysis component was tested via an oral presentation and analysis of 3 articles, each worth 20 marks each, so i think that the context piece and text response were worth 30 each, while the language analysis worth 40

We do this:
Unit 3:
Oral presentation (out of 20)
Language analysis (out of 30)
Text response [A man for all seasons] (out of 20)
Imaginative context [identity and belonging essay] (out of 30)
Unit 4:
Context expository essay (out of 50)
Text response [Richard III] (out of 50)

That's really similar to our marks aswell
30 for Text Response,
20 for language analysis,
20 for oral,
30 for context.

i only did 3 sacs last semester... o.o
1st was an Oral on A Man For All Season (out of 30)
2nd was our 'Whose Reality' Context writing (out of 30 again)
3rd was our Issues analysis thing (out of 40)
so far i've only lost 3 marks :) sitting at 97/100. Got 30/30 for 1st, 29/30 for 2nd and 38/40 for 3rd :). YAY!
