Title: Chances for second round offer ?

Top 3 preferences :
1. University of Melbourne Parkville - Commerce
2. Monash University Clayton - Commerce
3. RMIT - Professional Accountancy

I got a first round offer today for Professional Accountancy. My ATAR was 89.95, my friend from the same school got 90.35 and got into Commerce at UoM.

I've heard that half the Commerce students at Melbourne get their offer first round and other half get the offer second round.

What are the chances that I get a second round offer?

I'm sorry to say unlikely  :(. You're friend got in because he had SEAS, and I think melbourne offers second round offers to mainly people who submit negotiated offers, and you need like a 98 ATAR for that.
