Title: Help (subject selection)
Post by: TheOverAchiever on January 25, 2014, 01:27:50 am
Hi,

I am having trouble finding my last subject needed for semester 1 in Bachelor of Science, and need advice on what to choose that will benefit me in the civil systems and mechanical systems (as i am still deciding between both). While in VCE, i did not do specialist math 3&4, so i'm having difficulty finding a subject that i can do that can be done during semester 1.

Current subjects:
Semester 1 - Physics 1, Calculus 1, (subject needed)      Bredth - Finance
Semester 2 - Physics 2, Calculus 2, ESD 2                     Bredth - Accounting...

Thanks

I was considering that, though i'm pretty sure that i need to have fully completed calc 1 to do linear algebra, i've done a bit of research and have narrowed it down to ESD1 (no exam) or Experimental design and data analysis (3h exam though gives me a credit in data analysis 1), and am weighing both.

In the end, i'd rather complete these subjects now so that i may leave my summer holidays to complete other subjects that will benefit me next year

I am doing basically the same subjects as you with one key difference: I'm taking linear algebra concurrently with calc 2 in second semester and doing two breadths in first semester. So I suggest you do that :)
