When you're working out the mean of a frequency table that has intervals in one column, I know you use a mid point when adding up all the numbers but is the answer the actual answer you get or is it the closest mid point or interval to the answer you get ?
I hope that made sense ? :/

Well, not quite sure what do you mean. But if the question ask you to find out mean value, I would go for the actual answer.
